Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 2 guide observations and 0 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

Green Lantern vs. a Modern Napoleon
Nick Bonaparte is a modern-day descendant of Napoleon himself. He takes that to heart and is determined to be a powerful figure in the world. He does this by establishing himself as a gang boss, but instead of making the mistake of trying to carve out a niche in the underworld of a large city with well-established rackets, his gang will take over small towns with no crime and make up for it with volume. Evidently looking to challenge fate, Nick Bonaparte decides to set up his headquarters in a town named Waterloo and builds himself a fortress there. Alan Scott's boss says their customers have been complaining about bad reception in Waterloo and he's sent to look into why. Almost immediately he witnesses a florist having her wares threatened by thugs from the protection racket, and when he intervenes as Green Lantern, the police arrest *Green Lantern* instead of the criminals. What's more, the judge immediately agrees to throw him in prison without a trial, which shows Green Lantern the entire system's crooked so he bonks them unconscious and flies away.
Green Lantern gets in touch with the operator of a newspaper, while Doiby helps him round up local kids to hand out free papers denouncing Nick Bonaparte as a crook. The infuriated crime lord sends his men to stop the kids from spreading propaganda against which him brings swift retribution from Green Lantern and Doiby. After the one-sided battle, Bonaparte's own men are handing out the papers denouncing him. Soon the heroes manage to rally the people of the entire town and dismantle Nick Bonaparte's criminal empire, running him to ground in his fortress. Green Lantern uses his ring to melt Bonaparte's weapons, including his main cannon. This makes it backfire and level the entire fortress. As Alan Scott and Doiby return home, Alan reflects on something ironic: his middle name is Wellington, the man who defeated the original Napoleon.

| Notes = * *Green Lantern Vs. A Modern Napoleon* is reprinted in The Golden Age Green Lantern Archives Vol. 2 (Collected). * The middle name of Alan Scott - Wellington - is referred by the first time, and this is ironical, because the original Napoleon was also defeated by a Wellington. * There is a big problem with the story of Green Lantern. One day is very little time to get to Waterloo in Belgium during 1942 (and Doiby does this, even being a taxi driver). World War II was at its peak, and there was a rationing (fuel, air tickets and even food items and shoes). In addition, Belgium would be under the Sphere of Influence and Green Lantern would be controlled by the Nazis. It would be more plausible if the Waterloo where the adventure happens is one of several cities called Waterloo across the USA (See Waterloo). | Trivia = | Recommended = | Links =
