Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 3 guide observations and 0 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

| Writer3_1 = Robert Kanigher | Penciler3_1 = Irwin Hasen | Inker3_1 = John Belfi | StoryTitle3 = Green Lantern: "If Guns Could Only Talk" | Synopsis3 = Whitesley, a wealthy collector, has a gun from a baffling locked room mystery in his collection, and wonders what some of the weapons there would say if they could talk. The self-aware gun relates in flashback how much it dislikes Doiby Dickles.
:Originally this gun belonged to nightclub owner Jonah Dayton, who was confronted by Doiby about staying away from Alan Scott, and who confiscated the gun to keep Dayton from doing anything to his partner with it. Doiby followed Alan on a night out with a group of disreputable new friends, and his suspicions were seemingly proven when he found them robbing a rich man's house. Afterward Doiby took the gun and went to confront Dayton again, but was clubbed unconscious just as the gun went off. Dickles then came around, to find Dayton killed by a gunshot.
:Green Lantern helped Doiby escape by walking through the wall courtesy of his magic ring, but when they came back to investigate, GL found some tweezers and string , which he deduced had been used to lock the door from the outside, and make it look like nobody else had entered the room. Someone had, however, the leader of the gang Alan that had been trying to infiltrate. He knocked out the heroic duo with gas and prepared to dump them off a bridge. GL's ring protected them from the gas and they unmasked the gang's leader, Whitesley himself. Dayton had been a member of his gang, but Whitesley had actually killed Dayton, sacrificing him to make Doiby look guilty of murder, to weaken the city's heroic protectors.
After the case the self-aware gun was given back to Doiby, who since that time has rigged it to work like a lamp instead. The gun ponders the way its opinion of Doiby is now much higher, with it being proved he wasn't a murderer. | Appearing3 = **Narrator:** * Dayton's Pistol **Featured Characters:** * Green Lantern) **Supporting Characters:** * Doiby Dickles) **Antagonists:** * Whitesley ** his gang: ** Jonah Dayton ** others **Locations:** * Gotham City ** District Attorney's office ** Blue Whale Nightclub ** Scott's apartment ** Whitesley's mansion **Items:** * Alan Scott's Power Ring
