Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

The table includes 9 guide observations and 1 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

| Notes = thumb|right|200px|Showcase #100 * *Anthro* is discontinued after this issue. Howard Post would later offer his thoughts on this in an interview. I forget how many issues it ran but it was about a 12-month period and it was cancelled. I said, "What the hell is going on?" And Joe said, "We don't know. You sell out in L.A., you sell out in Chicago, you sell marvelously in New York. But you don't sell any place else." Joe came back while I was doing something else months later, and he said, "We found out what it was: It was distribution. They were just dumping." It was very small comfort to me because that was the best thing I've probably ever done.|Howie Post * Wally Wood is brought in as an inker on this issue, although this was normally done by Howie Post. Joe Orlando believed that his distinctive style would increase the appeal of the book and help it reach a larger audience. * Anthro and members of his supporting cast will appear next in Showcase #100. | Trivia = | Recommended = | Links =
