Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

The table includes 9 guide observations and 0 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

Captain Marvel: "The Man Who Wasn't!"

A hobo named Slip Kelly was rummaging through the trash when he saw a leprechaun and caught him, forcing him to grant a wish. Slip wished to be invisible and stole money from a bank. Billy Batson saw money floating in midair and transformed into Captain Marvel.

Two men chased the invisible Slip Kelly in order to take some money for themselves. As Slip stepped onto newly-laid cement and found himself being slowed down, Captain Marvel learned that an invisible man had been carrying the money. Slip abandoned the money and escaped and Captain Marvel returned the money to the bank before encountering the leprechaun. Captain Marvel caught the leprechaun and wished that Slip caught him again, as only the one who was granted the wish can change it.

Captain Marvel caught Slip stealing from Sam the Weenie Man and convinced him, using fear, to wish to be visible again.
