Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

The Golden God Part One
A native in Hidalgo rushes to a thatch hut where he radios Doc Savage for help. In the middle of the transmission he is grabbed by a golden robot and killed.
In New York, Pam Savage is monitoring the radio and receives the transmission. She goes to see Doc Savage, who is exercising in the gym. She plays the message for him, which is in Mayan and Doc translates the phrase golden deity. He flies to Hidalgo.
In Hidalgo, Doc meets with Delgado and a sniper shoots at Doc. Doc gets the senator to safety and chases after the sniper, but arrives too late to catch the killer. At his makeshift base in Hidalgo, Doc analyzes the bullets fired from the gun and finds they are plated with gold that has been treated by radiation, making it nearly invulnerable.
That night, Doc and his compatriots attend a banquet being held in Doc's honor. A Mayan attempts to kill senator Delgado that night as he sleeps and Doc, who has been waiting in the room, thwarts the attempt. Doc's compatriots attempt to capture the fleeing Mayans, but the Mayans all kill themselves to prevent this from happening.
Doc and company fly to the Valley of the Vanished, populated by the descendants of the Mayans. They speak with the King, who quarters and feeds them. That night, the King reports to a masked man who orders Doc killed.
While Doc and friends sleep, Mayans creep into their sleeping quarters and shoot them with blowdarts laces with poison. Unbeknownst to the Mayans, Doc has inoculated himself and his friends with the antidote for the poison the Mayans are well known for using. He rises from his bed and tells the Mayans that he is a "Bronze God" and they will know his wrath if they do not obey. At that moment, a gold robot breaks through the wall and enters the room. Doc fights the robot off, but not before it can grab Anton and Beau. It escapes with the prisoners.
Once back at its base, the golden robot prepares to throw its two prisoners into a snake pit.
