Reading this edition’s market
Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.
The table includes 3 guide observations and 1 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.
Graded population
CGC records 18 graded copies for Adventures Into Weird Worlds #28 (1954). Population is the number recorded by this grading source, not the total print run or all surviving copies.
Heads Will Roll
In 1591 A London man frames innocent men for profit when he runs out of the guilty to stick their heads on pikes looking out over London Bridge. One evening, one of the dead men's heads shouts out a warning to the guards that a man with a torch is attempting to burn down London bridge. The framer protests his innocence to the guards, but they don't believe him and cut off his head which ends up on a pike next to the others.
