Reading this edition’s market

Compare the same cover, printing and grade before setting a bid. A raw guide or a higher-grade price does not establish a slab’s value. Include selling fees, shipping and the depth of completed-sale evidence when assessing an exit price.

The table includes 9 guide observations and 0 catalog references. These are reference values, not guaranteed sale proceeds.

Direct Action.

Bruce Wayne) and Alfred Pennyworth) are heading to the hospital where a member of the Order of St. Dumas is hospitalized, when suddenly they see Jean-Paul Valley) breaking through a hospital window and falling to an apparent death. Bruce enters the hospital through the same window just in time to stop Biis) from killing Nomoz) as LeHah’s gun jams.

Biis then tries to escape but is followed by Bruce. The pursuit leads Bruce to the hospital's storage room, where he is ambushed by Biis. Biis pushes a shelf full of ether bottles on top of Bruce. Affected by the gas, Bruce starts to hallucinate and can't fight properly, giving Biis an easy victory. Biis drags Bruce's body outside and takes him away in an ambulance. Bruce makes a brief escape, but Biis captures him again. Biis then drugs Bruce to make sure he won't cause any trouble.

Meanwhile, Alfred and Nomoz decide to work together to stop Biis and rescue Bruce. They take Jean-Paul to a hideout of the Order of St. Dumas so he can recover. He survived his confrontation with Biis because the Azrael suit stopped the bullets.

Biis tells Bruce that he has discerned his identity as both millionaire, Bruce Wayne, and as Batman. After Bruce questions why Biis kept him alive, Biis replies that he plans to take control of Bruce’s money, to further his goals.

Nomoz threatens to kill Alfred, recognizing him as being with Batman, who Nomoz perceives to be a demon, in the mountains. Jean-Paul intervenes. They plan to find LeHah, who is now acting as Biis.

Biis is faster, and he murders one member of the Order, Borgeron, in Calais. LeHah then has a Doctor, on his payroll, inject Bruce with a truth serum. Bruce, after learning how to control his mind during his years of training to be Batman, is able to resist it.

Jean-Paul uses detective skills, comparable to Bruce’s according to Alfred, to work out that LeHah is working his way across Europe to murder members of the Order. Alfred, Nomoz and Azrael go to the mansion of Mr. Harcourt, just outside London, to prevent his murder. However, Biis is already inside and posing as Batman with the costume he took from Bruce. When the trio arrives at the mansion, the guard doesn't let them pass, so Azrael knocks him out.
